Feeling blue about my green

I've got another of my new LOTV images inked up tonight and am sharing my card.  It's my wedding anniversary later this month and I needed a card that wasn't featuring cute bears ... So I opted for a cute couple of kids instead!!!   Hubby doesn't 'do' cute.  Unfortunately for him, I do !!!

I chose some masculine colours though, and reluctantly steered away from pinks and lilacs (I'm still twitching from the withdrawal symptoms!).  But I did manage to sneak in a couple of pearls and some seam binding.  Other than that, it's bare!!

Unfortunately I'm not very pleased with the end result.  I don't think my colouring has done the adorable image any justice, and I'm not a great lover of green.  But I liked the papers and picked them before I coloured the image.

I might have to have another attempt before our anniversary (plenty of time as it is 3 weeks away still) so watch this space ...

Anyway, here's today's attempt.  Be gentle with your comments.

  7. Au contraire lovely Annette, your colouring is fabulous. We really are our own worst critics! I am a super fan of green, so I think it's delish and I LOVE the way you've used the seam binding. It looks brilliant. I'm running out of clever ways to say "it's fabulous". I think your hubby should be very chuffed with that lovely anniversary card. x

My hubby had to get used to FF bears since the day we met! ;)

I love the bright greens and cute image. I think the ribbon and pearls are a great touch too, as it finishes it off perfectly :)
