Barry Door Hanger

There is a new release and freebie today at StampFairy called Barry in Love.  This cute little bear captures my heart every time Gerda creates a new set of images.  I wanted to make something other than a card, so I've made a door-hanger using one of the cute new digis.

When I'd finished making it, I decided that I may be a little old for a door-hanger.  I decided to give it to a friend for her little daughter, because I thought she might get more use out of it than me!!  I hope she likes it.

Here's one side for the daytime, using one of the new images from Barry In Love.  I thought he looked like he was day-dreaming !!!  I printed the text using a fancy font, but traced over the text using a Sakura Stardust gel pen to make it sparkle.

And here's the reverse side for night time, with Barry ready for bed.  The flowers were actually cream, but I coloured them with an orange marker to make them match my colour theme.

I inked all the edges with sandstone coloured chalk ink to make them appear distressed

Card Recipe:
  • Image - Barry In Love and Barry Bedtime from StampFairy
  • Sentiment - Typed, and overwritten with Sakura Startdust gel pen
  • Papers - First Edition Hideaway Glittered Papers (my new favourite papers!)
  • Colouring - Promarkers, Copics, Sakura startdust gel pens
  • Cherry Blossom, 10mm & 15mm roses - Wild Orchid Crafts
  • From my stash -  Stickles, gems, embroidery thread, liquid pearls, glossy accents, ribbon, chalk ink

Please pop on over to StampFairy to see the newly released digi images.

Here's a preview of the set being released today:

    11. Too old for a door hanger!! :D That made me chuckle. I would use one if I thought it would stop my dogs barging at the door! lol.

Cute gift ideas and your papers looks stunning - so glittery and fresh. Love the bed time image! :)

Hope you are keeping well hun - I have had computer probs for the last 2 weeks, so its been chugging and churning along, but until I can replace a few bits, it will have to keep struggling a bit! :)
