Barry Take Two

Today I've used one of the new releases at StampFairy called Barry Bunny, but I was really unhappy with my card.  I think it was the clash of the pink of the bunny suit and the orange of the rest of the card.  I was quite pleased with the colouring on the eggs, but there was something missing.  But I just wasn't sure what that 'something' was.



Anyway, you know what it's like when there's that niggling feeling, so I continued to mess around, and decided I'd paper piece the image to colours that I was happier with, and this is the next result.


I'm still not entirely sure that I'm happy, but I think the lack of pink is better.  If any of you find my mojo lying around looking lost, can you send it back my way please?

      Hi Annette... I think you're right, without the pink is better! Now who thought I would ever be caught saying that??? LOL! Love the paper piecing..

      Hi Annette, I don't think you've lost your mojo at all...this is a lovely card! I do like the change to the paper piecing. I agree, the pink was throwing it off, but the colors you paper pieced are right on! :-)

      Oh I know exactly what you mean - when something just 'niggles' away at you! ;)

      Now when I was a kid, I often used to mix orange and pink until a teacher told me 'ginger-pink' was not allowed - lol.

      This is such a cute card, and the candy colours are so pretty, it looks like a bag of mini eggs :) The paper-piecing version is fabulous, but your colouring is also so good on the other one that both versions are brill in my eyes - they are cute, pretty and perfect for easter.

      Hihih I had to laugh when I read about your card and the pink...LOL

      I think the second card is way better than the first one. Sometimes you just have to make a card without pink (or red dots ;) )Love the colours on your card and the paperpieced eggs are so cute.
