I covered it with LOTV Country Lady papers and used my Watering Can image to decorate it. The only embellishment is a pearl I added to help lift up the lid as it's magnetic. I also inked around all the edges to age it a bit.
And finally to all my fellow Brits ... HAPPY "GUY FAWKES NIGHT"!
If you're braving the weather tonight and going out with your sparklers, have fun. :0)
Project Recipe:
- Image - Watering Can from LOTV
- Country Lady Paper Pad from LOTV
- Colouring - DI Reinkers
- Wooden Box
- Pearl
- Sketchy Colours - Green, Beige, Brown
- Sparkles - Autumn Colours
- Penny Black & More - Anything Goes
- Simon's Monday Challenge - Good Ol' Days (hunting round the garden collecting seeds for planting next year, like I used to do when I was younger - trouble was back then I didn't know the difference between flowers and weeds. Hmm, perhaps not much has changed there!)
- Lawnscaping Challenge - Fall / Autumn
Happy crafting

Wow! How can I never find nice things like this to alter?! LOVE what you have done hunny, the papers are so lush, and the little bird with the watering can and the seeds are perfect for your intended use. Absolutely brilliant. You are too clever by half! Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteOoh this is so gorgeous... what a clever idea! My seeds always end up in little packets on the window ledge - if I had a box like that it'd encourage me so I must have a go. Lovely decoration too.. looks fab!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful and useful - think I need one of these! My seeds currently reside in old Go Ahead bar boxes - very stylish yes?!
ReplyDeleteThe combination of DP and images are just perfect for this and you wouldn't want a lot of embellishment or it wouldn't really be practical.
Big hugs, Kat xx
