Gardening

The theme this fortnight at As You Like It Challenge is to make something either representing land or sea, whichever is your favourite.

Although I live by the sea and love the beauty of the coastal views, I'm actually not very fond of boats (might be the absence of sea legs!) and can't remember the last time I ever went in the sea.

I'm much more of a country girl; growing up listening to a sheep chorus from the fields behind our house, riding horses when I was younger and spending lots of time visiting my friend on her family's farm just down the road from our house.

I love the changing seasons represented in the fields, trees and animals.

I like the romance of country farmhouses and open gardens.

And despite the aching limbs which I end up with, I do actually quite like tending my little plot of land in my own garden, growing veggies and flowers amongst the mass of weeds.

So today's card for me represents land, with a spot of gardening.

And in case you've not seen it, there's a special offer of 15% off some sprintime images at Lili of the Valley, and it's on until Sunday. So get your skates on and get over to the special offer page for some Lili bargains.

  1. A brilliant interpretation Annette and I love your darling little couple busy in their garden. It's obviously a country mansion judging by the ornate fence!! xx

  2. Awh, just super hun. As much as I love the sea, I think I am with you on land. It must be hard to craft on a boat. Love this little couple, they look so content. Hugs xx

  13. I'm with you on this one...I like looking at the sea but actually going in it...not something I enjoy!

This is a fave image of mine and is a perfect celebration of gardening, which I also really enjoy...although I find I spend less time doing that and more time making cards at the moment!

The fresh green shades are lovely too and the fence die is fab :-)

    Big hugs, Kat xx
