Santa, Please stop here!

Well, a quick update from Halloween.  I got home at 6:20 when hubby casually pondered whether we'd missed the majority of Trick or Treaters as we were home late.

We'd had a gang of 3 ring the doorbell before we'd taken off our coats.

As I was taking off my shoes, another gang of five arrived.

Before I'd got into the kitchen, ding dong, and another gang of five were banging on the door.

I swear it was the same gang coming round for second portions.

Anyway, you get the picture!

By 6:30 all 22 treat pouches had gone and we had to put a sign up saying we'd run out of sweets.

In 10 minutes flat!

However, it did mean from then onwards we had a quiet evening with no more visitors!

In contrast to Halloween, I'm in Christmas mode today.  Today's card is to support the challenge at As You Like It Challenge where the theme is Teddies or Fairies!  I'm definitely a 'cute and furry' teddy kinda gal.  And I think out of all my teddy images, my favourite has to be James the bear.  He's adorably cute and I love this little image of him looking a bit thoughtful at his 'Santa stop here' sign.

  1. We had a fairly quiet all done for 7-30 and must say most in fancy dress and below the age of 10. Just about 35 packs of treats gone. Brother bought 5 packs of 28 sweets and all went think they get mini buses of kids. Lovely card and such a cute image love the colour

  5. Noooooooooo not another one of you Sweet Stampers preferring teddies.... the poor little fairies are sniffling and sulking in the corner now.. wands thrown away in temper! That's three of you so far!!

BUT... you have made a gorgeous job of this little guy.. love his purple accesories too.

And now..... I'll have to go placate the fairies..

  9. My favourite bear ever!! Another gorgeous card as always. We bought some sweets just in case we had witches at our door. We didn't here or see any. So we have to eat them!! Shame! Hugs, Carol S.xx

  10. We had way more kids come round on Halloween than we thought too...I ran out of the little bags of chocs I had bought and had to resort to giving away Lindor balls...eeeek! Then we stopped answering the door - lol!
But yes, Christmas will be here before we know it now so it's time to get cracking and where better to make a start than with gorgeous James bear?! Your card is fab, such pretty colours, and the way you framed the image with die cuts and flowers looks beautiful :-)
    Big hugs, Kat xx
