Lenny in his Ladybird Outfit

Well, this month has just flown by, and this week is sadly my last week as a guest designer with Stamp Fairy.  I've had so much fun, but I guess all good things must come to an end.  I shall miss contributing to the team, but with Gerda's fab images expanding every week, and the fact that I'm totally addicted to her designs, I'll just have to settle for playing along with the challenges as normal again!!!

So, back to the challenge theme, and it is a photo inspiration for you this week.

As soon as I saw the image, the papers from Robyn's Fetish Coney Island Summer came to mind, with their gold and red flowers, so I've gone for a Springtime / floral theme.  I've used Lenny in this cute little Ladybird (or "Ladybug" I believe? if you're American) outfit as I thought the ladybird theme went well with the flowers and the colours.  I've stamped him twice, cut out and layered the second image on sticky foam pads.  I cut out the base image with my oval cutter, matted onto red card and cut around the oval with my scalloped scissors.  I've used promarkers to colour Lenny and shimmer chalks around the image on the base card.

For embellishments, I've added some pink liquid pearls in three corners, some yellow flat back beads in the forth corner, some cherry blossom and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, and some gold chiffon ribbons, one of which I've tied into a bow.
