Get the fire extinguisher ready ...

A friend asked me to make a masculine birthday card.  Let's face it, male themed cards are something that I'm not very good at.

Ok Ok, I admit it; I'm hopeless at male cards.  I just like pink too much!  And cute.  And glitter.

Anyway, in preparation for her challenge, I pushed away my boxes of paper flowers, my tray of coloured glitters and pile of gorgeous papers.  But that was as far as I managed to go, cos then my fingers just itched to include some pretty blue ribbon and a few blue flat backed pearls.

So in short, I think I failed on the masculine theme.

I'm not sure that I'll be getting a slice of his birthday cake either, after adding the sentiment, which reads:

"When I heard it was your birthday, I thought I'd better get the fire extinguisher out ... "
