Snowflake Kisses

I love these hedgy images from Penny Black, but trying to split them onto two images by masking one while stamping the other is really hard as they're actually really close together.  However, I managed to get two clean images in the end in order to put them either side of the central partition of this card.  I love the sentiment 'If kisses were snowflakes ...  I'd send you a blizzard'.  I've also used some spotty buttons too, so it all follows the snowflake theme.

And a Partridge in a Pear Tree

I love this addictive Christmas song theme with the piper and drummer.  Despite using pastel shades, I think that the creamy brown and green colours still create a masculine theme.

'Tee' Time ?

For golfing mad boys this card is ideal with Hedgy sitting on his golf ball.  Cute, but still masculine.  I've also been using my new border punch, which I purchased yesterday on a little craft bargain spending spree!

One for the Boys

Making cards for men are always difficult when you like anything cute, pink or glittery.  However, I love these new papers that I bought on a trip to North Devon this week, and although they are floral, they are quite masculine colours, and I think they look great.

Stylish Shopper

With its pink theme, this shopaholic teddy image is perfect for any girl.  I think I may be addicted to using liquid pearls as I seem to be putting them on everything. They are so easy to use, and I think they do look like little pearls once they dry.

Snowballs

These cute pets playing in the snow are really cute.  The ginger one on the left reminds me of my naughty ginger tabby, Arnie with his white socks and tum!

A cool blue theme, some digi download snowflake backing papers, a small posy of blue roses, and of course, a bit of glitter finishes it off.

Good luck everyone.

Football Mad

I've created this from a die cut puppy peering over the words "Football mad" written in fancy computer fonts.  The two letter 'o's are raised football images on sticky pads.  Great card for the boys !

Sparkly Wedding

This has to be my favourite wedding card, with the cute bear die cuts and sparkly silver ribbons to finish it off.  I used a gathering ribbon for the 3D effect curled ribbon and twisted the ends round before sticking them down.

Friends

These two Penguins at their igloo are so cute, coloured using my Promarkers and some glitter.  I used a pretty lilac snowflake paper, finished off with some mulburry flowers and snowflake punchies held on with lilac brads.

Favourite Cards

Although I've been making cards since 2005, I've only been blogging for a few months, although I'm addicted already, and post new entries every week now.

I love looking at the challenges on the blogs for inspiration, colour themes, sketches etc, and would love to have a go at inspiring others and see their interpretations of my designs.  Leaving comments for others is also great, as it is one of the motivators for most of us, knowing that other crafty minded people are appreciating our creations.

Picking 3 favourite cards is a difficult challenge in itself, as I've currently got just over 200 cards in my stash waiting for a Christmas craft fayre in November.   However, I've settled on the following creations:

This image is from Penny Black, one of my original favourite stamp designers and the range of images that really got me keen on stamping.  The papers are an olive green digi download from Pink Petticoat and were great value. I've combined the green theme with silver, and incorporated a matt-silver ribbon and brad wrapped around one of the layers.  I've used my Twinking H2O water colour paints to give the image a sheen.

Card number 2 is my favourite Christmas image this year, the Igloo for Two from Lili of the Valley.  This time I've used my Promarkers and lots of glitter to colour the penguins, adding some blue tinted flowers to continue the blue colour theme.

And last but not least, a small image of Hedgy from Penny Black in a Santa boot.  Snowflakes are my favourite theme at Christmas so I've used them on the backing paper and also some punchies with some Liquid Pearl drops to give more texture.

Flutterflies

This is a great image for men, and I love the green colour theme for the 'outdoors' theme of the image.  I've used some lovely new papers bought for me by my lovely husband.

Purple Christmas

I've used some of my favourite lilac colours on this christmas card, on a lovely Lili of the Valley stamp.  The lilac snowflake papers are digi downloads from Pink Petticoat matted onto irridescent lilac paper and toppoed off with some Christmas glitter.

Cracking Christmas

Time for a new card!  This week I've been using a new LOTV stamp which was given to my by my lovely husband (with some guidance in the right direction - ie details of the LOTV website !!!) for my birthday at the start of the month.  The papers, ribbon and holly brad were also a birthday pressie from my best friend (she needed no prompting!).

I'm fully in the swing of Christmas cards now and have been having fun with my Promarkers.
I hope you like my card...

Winter Wedding

I've used Autumn colours on this wedding card to give it a warm feel with rich burgundy and embossed backing paper. I've given the wedding dress some gold chalk highlights and coloured a silver 'Wedding' peel off with a gold coloured permanent marker.

Cooking with Mother

It's my mother-in-law's birthday next week and therefore I wanted to make her a pretty card.  She likes cooking and therefore thought that a cookery themed card in feminine pinks and lilacs would be a good idea.

Hope she likes my efforts!
