Going Places

It feels like it should be at least Friday this week already, but instead I'm finding it's only Wednesday so I'm sharing my mid-week post for Dies to Die For featuring some fabulous images from MFT called Up in the Air.  I've also used some stitched cloud dies and stitched scene builder dies so there's a bit of 'stitched' theme running in the background!

Water-coloured on Langton Watercolour paper with Ranger Distress Ink Reinkers:
  • Fur/Feathers: Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo, Gathered Twigs,
  • Grass: Shabby Shutters, Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss
  • Blues: Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Peacock Feathers
  • Purples: Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord, Wilted Violet
  • Pinks: Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick
  • Reds: Abandoned Coral, Fired Brick

Saucer of Milk

You may be excused for thinking that today's card might feature an odd image to use for celebrating a 'New Home', but there is a very good reason!

Rather than for a human, this card was made specifically to send to a beautiful silver grey tabby kitty who has found a lovely new home after being adopted from the Blue Cross.  The image on the front is 'Saucer of Milk' and I've coloured the little kitty in silver grey to resemble the furry recipient!

I dug out my paws border die and was inspired by a layout that I'd seen on one of the lovely Christine's cards.  I was lucky enough to meet her when I went to Harrogate at Easter, and although she has sworn me to secrecy following my privileged tour of her craft-room, I can assure you that her cards are even more gorgeous in the flesh than they are in photographs. (and I'm definitely not allowed to tell you how awesome her craft room is!)  ;0)

Anyway, here's my card...

ps Squirrel, I know I should have coloured the girlie's hair in black, but you and I both know that I can't colour black hair, so I'll be sending you some brunette hair dye in my next parcel.

Moving Day

I've got a fun little card to share today.  A regular visitor to my blog, the lovely Wendy, is moving soon,  and so I made her a 'Good Luck in your New Home' card to help make the new place feel like home when she gets in there.

I've used one of my favourite pink and chocolate colour combos and a Lili of the Valley stamp appropriately called 'Moving Day'.

Hope all goes well for you Wendy, and wishing you every happiness in your new home.

Barry Moving Card and Gift Box

There is a new release and freebie today at StampFairy called Barry Moving so I couldn't resist making a project using one of the cute new digis.

I've made a card and matching gift box using a tutorial and template from Stempeleinmaleins which was far easier than it looks.

Here's the card, using one of the new images and the freebie sentiment .....

Here's the card with the gift box ....

And a close up of the gift box ...

Life's a Peach (and a Freebie or three)

It's Friday (yay!) so that means there is a new release today at Stamp Fairy.  Today's release features Lenny with a variety of fruits.  A little birdie told me that this set was inspired by Samantha, one of our Stamp Fairy teamies, who wanted some images to use to create some labels for her homemade marmalade.  How sweet is that (excuse the pun!)?  Gerda, you are so wonderful to create these little requests!  Anyway, today's card features Lenny holding a peach, but there are lots of other fruits available. I rather fancy the strawberry one, especially with Wimbledon starting shortly.   Mmmmm, Strawberries!

Although there is a freebie sentiment with this set, I've actually used another of my homemade sentiments as I wanted a Peachy 'new home' sentiment for a card for my friend, who's moving house this week.   I've therefore included this and also some more sentiments below, so help yourself to any that take your fancy.

And here's the inside, using the same papers and layout:

Here's the preview of the whole collection:  Don't forget to visit the Stamp Fairy website to pick up your peachy freebie too.

    Freebies:
Finally, as promised above, here are some Sentiment freebies from me, including the one I've used above.  You're welcome to download them if you like them; click on each image for a larger version, then right click and 'save picture as' to save to your own computer.

    My conditions are as follows:
    1. Please become a follower, then you will see more freebies as they are posted,
    2. Please leave a comment on this post to let me know you've downloaded it, and
    3. Please don't share my freebies directly with other people.
I also adore seeing your creations using my digi sentiments, so I'd really love you to send me an email with links to your creations so I can pop over for a peek.

Tip: by the way, if you have the Lacey Circle nesties, then print any of my circle sentiments out at 2.7cm by 2.7cm or there abouts and the smallest nestie will fit around it as shown in my card above.
