For someone who likes to match the colours of any embellishments (ribbons, pearls, papers, flowers etc) whenever I add them, I found this fortnight's challenge at As You Like It a little difficult. We're looking for "black and white plus one". Now, I'm not usually a 'yellow' person, but against the black and white I wanted my image to really stand out, so I chose a golden yellow colour to give some brightness to my project. I've given my little girllie golden hair, used mustard yellow papers and gold and white organza ribbon for the top of the tag.

My favourite colours are pink, purple and blue but choosing between them is sometimes difficult (and often depends on my mood!). I've always loved pink though; it's so soft and feminine. The new pink or blue challenge at As You Like It Challenge had to be pink for my choice. (just don't ask me the same question again tomorrow if you want the same answer!)

I always like stitching on cards, both faux and real. I have accumulated a lot of stitched dies over the past couple of years since they first became popular, but I still really love making the effort to do the real thing because it seems to be the exception to the norm (a bit like me!). After getting a bit wobbly with my stitches though, I am thinking I should've opted for the stitched dies instead!
I've used an adorable new image called Reindeer with a Present by Kinda Cute by Patricia and watercoloured him using the no-lines technique.
Unfortunately the papers were loose in my stash, and although I'm pretty sure they're Maya Design, I'm willing to be told otherwise if you know.
