Inside Sketch and a Freebie

There is a new challenge today at Stamp Fairy Challenge Blog, and the theme to play along with this week is a sketch, but with a twist, you also have to decorate the inside of your card too.    Also don't forget you have to use a StampFairy digi to be able to win.

This card is for my hubby whose birthday is on Thursday.  I tried to keep it really simple and uncluttered.  I didn't want to add lots of embellies on a man's card as it would be too fussy.  I'm really bad at cards for men, so I really hope he likes this one.  I've used Lenny Bubbles and made a "V" shaped front so that the top of the inside is partially visible when the card is closed.  I had to ensure that I lined up the inside sentiment panel perfectly so that it doesn't show when the card is closed.

Here's the sketch:

Freebie:
As promised above, here is my Sentiment freebie that I've used above.  You're free to download it if you like it; click on the image for a larger version, then right click and 'save picture as' to save to your own computer.

My conditions are as follows:
  1. Please become a follower, then you will see more freebies as they are posted,
  2. Please leave a comment on this post to let me know you've downloaded it, and
  3. Please don't share my freebies directly with other people.
I also adore seeing your creations using my digi sentiments, so I'd really love you to send me an email with links to your creations so I can pop over for a peek!

Trees Galore & a DT Call

There is a new challenge today at Incy Wincy, and the theme to play along with this week is Trees.  We're sponsored by Limited Runs who have kindly supplied some digi images for the design team to showcase.  I chose 'Single Pine', although I then used it 3 times (so maybe not so single any more!).  I love combining images, and not only used the tree 3 times, including flipping the image horizontally before I used it on the right hand side of the card, but I also added a Magnolia image to create more of a scene.

This is my final week as a DT member with the One Stop Craft Challenge.  I'm so sad to say goodbye to the lovely ladies on the team, but I know that the new teamies will be joining soon and will have lovely creative projects for us all to enjoy.  Thanks to everyone who has joining in the challenges while I've been on the team, and I've loved seeing all your fab creations every week.

Back to business ... the theme for this week is Christmas Fairies.  We're sponsored by Stitchy Bear who have kindly supplied some digi images for the design team to showcase.  I've made a Christmas pressie tag on sparkly blue papers and used my Sakura Stardust pens to accent the wings, hair and corset.

    Molly Winter Drawer Box

It is Friday so there is a new release and freebie today at Stamp Fairy.  Today's set is  Molly Winter 2.

Here is a project that I've made using one of the digis from the newly released set.  I made the drawers from scratch (yes they took a while to make, but I think they were worth it).  And once they were made, it was fun to decorate the box and make the easel for the top.  I used pale blue beads for the little handles, held on with blue wire, twisted at the back and pushed through the drawer fronts. I rubbed all the edges with brown ink to make them stand out a bit.

Please pop on over to Stamp Fairy to see the newly released digi images.

Fancy Folds at Top Tip Tuesday

There is a new challenge today at Top Tip Tuesday, and the theme to play along with this week is Fancy Folds.  I've followed the tri-fold shutter card tutorial by the talented Janette on the Top Tip Tuesday blog today.  I looks really complicated but it was actually not that hard to make the main base card.  However, I got a bit carried away with my folds and forgot what season we're in, so it turned out a bit summery!!!  Oh well !!! LOL

    Card Recipe:
    • Image - Donny Ladybug from Stamp Fairy
    • Papers - Robyns Fetish
    • Colouring mediums - Promarkers, Copics, Dovecraft Shimmer chalks.
    • Nesties - Lacey circles
    • Dies - Magnolia Tag, Magnolia Swirl
    • From my stash - Liquid pearls, glossy accents,

    J-Fold Molly Birthday Card

It is the second week of our Glitter challenge at Stamp Fairy Challenge Blog, and the StampFairies have created some more fab inspiration for you to view.  Here's mine, using Molly Peekers.

This card is a J-fold card, something I've not tried before, but it is kind of cute, and soooo easy to do.  I really love this strawberry and chocolate colour theme too.  It is lovely and girlie.  I've decorated the inside too with complementary papers, and kept the embellies to a minimum to make the image stand out.  Also there is quite a lot of shape on the card with the folds, so I didn't want to overload it with accessories.  My clean and simple look, huh !!!

    Orange, Yellow and Brown

There is a new challenge today at Incy Wincy, and the theme to play along with this week is Orange, Yellow and Brown.  We're sponsored by Fred She Said who have kindly supplied some digi images for the design team to showcase.  I chose some fab papers as I really love their digital papers.  These are called Cherry Blossom and they come in 33 colours in the pack for $3.50 CAD.

I used orange and brown papers, and added some yellow in the form of pearls. I also used my Sakura stardust pens to add some sparkle, and some Stickles around the edge of the card base.

    Card Recipe:
    • Image - Wall from The Stamping Boutique and Magnolia
    • Papers - Fred She Said
    • Corner die - Memory Box
    • Colouring mediums - Promarkers, Copics, Sakura Startdust pens

    Make it Sparkle

There is a new challenge today at 2 Sisters Challenges, and the theme to play along with this week is Make it Sparkle.  We're sponsored by The Crafty Pad and Glitterbabes who have both kindly supplied some digi images for the design team to showcase.  I've chosen to showcase Glitterbabes' Holiday Presents. I love combining images to make more of a scene and therefore I've printed and cut out the presents and popped them at the feet of my Tilda image.  It makes more of a scene rather just one single image.  I've glittered the balloon, Tilda's bow, and the ribbons on the presents for my sparkle.

It is Friday so there is a new release and freebie today at Stamp Fairy.  Today's set is Lenny Christmas Scenes.  I've made a little octagonal gift box to showcase one of the images from the newly released set.

I also cut a circle in the lid and lined it with acetate so you can see inside the box a bit.  I'm going to put little chocolate truffles in there (if I can manage not to eat them first).

    Sketchy Inspiration with Barry Bear

It is the second week of our sketch challenge at Stamp Fairy Challenge Blog, so the StampFairies are sharing some new inspiration.

I've used my new Barry Birthday image - isn't he a CUTIE !!!  I know most of us are well into the Christmas spirit, but I thought I'd throw a cupcake into the mix and take a break from Christmas cards for this card !!!

Get ready for some SERIOUS purple-fest !!!  The pretty butterfly ribbon matches the paper perfectly, don't you think?

Here's the sketch too, in case you've forgotten !!!

Don't forget to use a Stamp Fairy image to join us, but there are some fab freebies to start your collection.

There is a new challenge today at Incy Wincy, and the theme to play along with this week is Stitch it Up.  We're sponsored by Tiffany Doodles who have kindly supplied some digi images for the design team to showcase.

Although it doesn't show very well, the front row of trees and the bambi are cut out and raised on foam pads. All the trees are glittered too and look really effective in real life! The snow on the ground is torn card strips with more glitter.

Blogversary at One Stop Craft Challenge

It is our 3rd Blogversary today at One Stop Craft Challenge, and so the theme to play along with this week is "3 is the magic number" - use 3 of something on your card.

I've used 3 different images, Molly Winter 1 (sitting Molly), Molly Winter 5 (fence) and Molly Winter 6 (Lamp post).  I've also added 3 layered snowflakes with pearl centres and also made a 3 panel stair card.

    Lots of 3's indeed !!!

    Barry Angel

It is Friday so there is a new release and freebie today at Stamp Fairy.  Today's set is Barry Angel.
Here is a card I've made using one of the digis from the newly released set.  He is such a cutie, and could be used for any occasion, but I've used snowflake papers so put a Chrismassy sentiment on the inside.  I also used one of the freebies from a previous Friday release on the inside.  Finally, I used my new Sakura stardust pens to highlight the outside edge of the image panel in pink.
