Be Mine

This week there is a Valentines theme at Top Tip Tuesday.  I've used Clyde Be Mine from Bugaboo, and couldn't resist using pink throughout - well it is Valentines!!!  I have a good excuse to use pink (for once!).

Toby, or not Toby!!

StampFairy are sponsoring Stampin' for the Weekend today, and so I've made a little pillow box using a Stampfairy image to support the challenge.  The theme is embossing and I've used Toby Love.

I really love embossing and think it looks great on projects, especially on white.  I also love the simplicity of this little box.

I think my hubby is starting to look at the number of Valentines projects that are now dotted around my craft desk and wondering who they are all for!

Card Recipe:
  • Image - Toby Love from StampFairy.com
  • Colouring - Promarkers, Copics, Sakura Stardust Gel pens
  • Embossing folder - Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls
  • Pearls - Wild Orchid Crafts
  • From my stash -  Embroidery thread, glossy accents, white gel pen

    Snowflake Bunny

I'm still trying to keep to my New Year's resolution of making a few Christmas cards throughout the year, and not leaving them all for November/December.  After using this cute little bunny image last week, I just couldn't resist colouring her again, but this time in blue.   So here's a card just for fun !!!

      Love you beary much

StampFairy are sponsoring Craft Us Crazy today, and so I've made a card to support the challenge. The theme is Valentines and/or Animals and I've used Barry Bear from Barry Throughout the Year (Feb).

I've kept my card really simple to showcase the cute image of my favourite bear, and some new papers which I'm in love with.  I tried a couple of nestie shapes to cut out the image, but they covered up too much of the papers, which are embossed and glittered, so I decided to cut the image out, and just raise it on foam pads.  I added a little strip of die cut border, a bit of ribbon and 3 sparkly gems.  And that was it !!!

      What a Swing

There is a new challenge today at Top Tip Tuesday, and you've got a choice of 2 fab sketches to play along with, one with layers, and the other clean and simple.  I picked the layers one for my card, giving it a masculine theme, with not too much fuss (for me!).

      Clemantine Winter Snowballs

Happy Friday 13th !!!  I've scheduled this post, so I hope there are no Friday 13th Gremlins in blogland today!!

There is a new release at StampFairy today which is Clemantine Winter 2 and I've made a card using one of the digis from the newly released set.  I couldn't resist using pink for this card, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out, even if I do say so myself!  Today brings another of my New Year's Resolutions to share, which is to make some Christmas cards each month of the year, and not leave them all until December !!

      Barry Bear Snowy Gift Bag

StampFairy are sponsoring the ABC Christmas Challenge for the next fortnight's challenge, and so I've made a creation to support the challenge.  The theme is Anything Goes (of course it must be Christmas related though) and I've used Barry Throughout the Year 1 to make a cute little gift bag.

      New Beginnings

Today I'm sharing one of my New Year's Resolutions, which is to create cards for fun, not just for DT work.  And this is the first of my 'just for fun' cards for 2012.

I'm using a new LOTV image.  Since this was my first time colouring this image, I think I've coloured it wrong.  I thought the little bit behind the bear was part of his PJs, so I coloured it red, but I think that it is actually part of the pillow behind him.  Oh well. I'll know for next time.  LOL
