I won the 'star of the month' at
CRAFT challenges last month and the prize is a Guest Designer spot for the month, so here I am with my first creation in support of the challenge which starts today. The theme is Xmas in March and we're sponsored by
Kenny K,
Doodle Dragon Studio,
Flonz Craft and
Digital Delights.
I've used a saucy Kenny K image called
Mistletoe and added a typed sentiment which I think goes well with the image. It's been a while since I made an easel card too, so I've cut out a scalloped circle with a Go Kreate die, and used a red colour scheme.
One of my 2013 New Year Resolutions was to include stitching on my cards, but I think I need to have a 'get out clause' when I'm using fancy shapes, and in that category I would include circles. My sewing machine does not have a speed control setting, so it's either stopped, or at full pelt, which makes navigating around shapes really difficult. I could use the hand turning control thingy, but I'm too impatient and my foot finds the pedal too easily!!! There were only a couple of wobbles, but they're all I can see when I look at the finished project!!! My old machine had a speed setting so I could slow it right down. I didn't think of it when I got my new machine last summer, but I miss it now I've not got it!! LOL
Anyway, hope you like my card, and I look forward to seeing your Christmas creations on the
CRAFT challenge blog.
