Timeless Tulips

I've been playing with some lovely stamps that are something a bit different for me. I normally opt for 'cute and cuddly', but today I've been playing with some of the gorgeous Sunny Studio layering stamps called Timeless Tulips.

I've made a couple of notelet cards, and a matching gift tag. I stamped the tulips onto smooth white card, layering each one using the same ink pad which became darker each time I added a layer.  I then stamped the stalks and leaves before adding detail with my pencils.

I added quite a lot of pencil to the leaves, and then promptly cut them off when I die cut the images to fit my notelets!

I used a 'hello' text stamp from the same stamp set.

Alice Ice Cream

I'm sharing the third of my cards for the new release at Lili of the Valley (available 10 May) called Alice Ice Cream. I love the LOTV bunny characters so I'm really pleased that they're making an appearance in this release.

Fairy Wings

I've got a second card featuring one of the cute new images from Lili of the Valley available from 10 May.  This time she's a sweet little fairy holding her wings!

I was optimistic creating a 4 layered double bow (it seemed like a good idea at the time) which bulked up the card although it's quite light as it's mainly very thing organza. I'm not sure I'll be attempting it again though.  I had to hold the ends together with mini brads.  I added some sparkle to her fairy wings to bring the focus back to the image!

Warming Up

There are some new images being released on 10 May at Lili of the Valley including some adorable little girls and bunnies (what could be better!).  I'm sharing one with you today, and a couple more over the coming days.  :0)

Purple James

We're asking what your favourite colour is at As You Like It Challenge this fortnight, and for me it's a toss up between pink, purple and blue.  Since I've made quite a few purple cards lately, I decided that purple must be my (current) favourite, but this is kind of a pinky purple, albeit with purple embellies :0)  I love that purple can be quite feminine, but also a really rich plum purple can look really elegant too.

Pin the Tail

I've always loved donkeys. I'm not sure if it's my childhood (extending into adulthood) love of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, or my fondness of the actual animals (we have a Donkey sanctuary not far away), but I do love 'em.

It's also not often I see images of donkeys, but as soon as I spotted this one, I knew that I had to ink him up.

So here is 'Pin the Tail' from Whimsy Stamps.

Bonnie

I've used a sweet little image featuring a Wee Stamp bunny called Bonnie today.  She's sat in a basket wearing her floral bonnet (I love her ears poking through it!).  This is my final outing as guest designer with the The Ribbon Girl Challenge (*sniff, sob*) but I've had such fun playing along (thank you Mary).  The theme this fortnight, as usual for the mid month challenge, is to use any image, so there's no excuse not to play along. :0)

Pen Pal Bear

Today's card is CAS and uses a notepaper edger die that I've not used much (if at all). The little bear is a real cutie and I've printed the sentiment in pale grey so that I could paint over it (with a really fine brush!).  Hope you like him. :0)

Dandelion Clock

We are looking for pearls at In The Pink Challenge this fortnight and I've gone a little overboard with my pearl embellies.  I've added a white pearl string, a trinket pin featuring pearls and some flat backed pearls for good measure.  All the pearl embellies, flowers and the shocking pink ribbon are all from The Ribbon Girl and my image is Lili of the Valley.  My card also fits the theme for the 'girilie' themed challenge at Lili of the Valley's Facebook page which you still have a couple of days to enter with a card featuring a female character.

The Chick and the Ladybug

I've used another Stamping Bella chick image today with lots of yellow, green and orange (not my favourite colours but very 'Spring-like'!  I've combined it with an Easter sentiment from a Whimsy stamp and my new favourite (for now) stitched scallop border die set.

Chickalicious

I've been in Easter mode today, and finally finished off this cutie who's been sitting around for a couple of days without a card to call home.

Chickies

I've been trying to make a few extra Spring themed cards to send as Easter cards. I've got a poor stock of Easter cards to send this year so needed to plump up my pile a bit.  Now all I have to do is write and send them...... !

I really like this image of these sweet chicklets playing with their flowers.  I'm not usually a fan of yellow or green, but I love how bright and Spring-like this card is with these colours.  I hope you like it too.

Magical Dragons

Most of my cards are a standard 6" x 6" square, but despite that being my most common, it's actually not my favourite!  I love the shape created with my Go Kreate Labels die so today I've dug it out and used it on my first outing of these cute dragons.  I've had them a while, but haven't had much luck with colouring them.  There have been several versions which have been binned before I settled on this one, and I'm still not quite sure of the colours!  Anywho, here are my dragons, on their shaped card, looking cute and not at all scary!  It's the perfect card for my sample for As You Like It Challenge where we want to see your favourite cardbase shape.
