Ladybird Gnome

I enjoyed making the recent Sunflower Gnome so much that I've dived into a second version.  This fella is a present for a special friend so he has been sent on his travels, and is safely in his new home.  

He was really fun to create and the designer has some fabulous patterns on Etsy. I've already purchased some more patterns from her!!!

Easter Badger

At As You Like It Challenge this week we're asking if you prefer colouring people or critters, which is a super easy one for me!  It's critters every time. I love the cuteness of something cuddly and furry (both in real life and when I'm watercolouring) so I've picked this adorable badger for my Easter themed card.

I've cut the cardbase using my Silhouette machine in a font called Tasty Burger (mmmm, pass the ketchup) and embossed the top layer of yellow which I've then layered onto orange, beige and then white.  I added outline layers for my badger so that he was supported on the cardbase.

I've been playing with the Honey Bee Bird House A2 die to create this card base from some pretty blue papers and biscuit coloured card which is embossed and inked with distress inks to create added texture.  I've stamped, watercoloured and fussy cut some birds to decorate it.
