We had LOADS of ghosts, ghouls and witches including one family who brought their rather pissed off looking dog who was dressed up with fairy wings.
We also had one kiddie dressed in a tiger onesie. Apparently it was scary 'cos the tiger had rabies. (Just for the record)
All my handmade candy pouches were gone by 6.30pm, and then we had to break open a family sized multi-pack of Maltesers, which were similarly gone by 7.30pm.
Then we decided to turn off the pumpkin lights and hope no-one else turned up!!
Well Halloween is over so there are no more spooky projects to share, and prepare yourselves for a shock, because today's card is not Christmas themed either. I'm sharing a birthday card for a change!
I've combined soft floral papers with a deep burgundy satin ribbon. The ribbon actually does look darker in the photo than in real life, but it gives some contrast next to the gentle colours in the papers.
I cut the backing paper to size for the card base, and then cut out a square from the centre of it. Then I layered the centre square onto matching plain paper, and inserted it back into place with its frame on the base card. I like the way it creates a bit of interest without too much fuss.
