Deja Vu

You may have read my post just after Christmas saying that some personalised cards I'd made sadly hadn't reached their recipient. :0(   Anyway, I've made a replacement for the baby card as well as a little extra goodwill gesture in the form of a keepsake wall hanger.

Both items feature cuties from Lili of the Valley and lots of frilly stuff from The Ribbon Girl.  I was pleased how they turned out, even though it was heartbreaking to know the first set had been lost after all the effort that had gone into them.

The wall hanger is actually quite large, bigger than it looks her in comparison to the card, but even so the letters I've used (my new CCD Jumbo Alphabet) look mahoosive!  I've die cut them 3 times and layered the top designer paper onto thick purple cardstock to keep them strong as the paper was too flimsy. They're raised up on foam pads too for added dimension.

So sorry to hear about the mail mixup. And how heartbreaking to have lost all that lovely handmade work!

Your new card and wallhanging is beautiful though. They will be well pleased to receive that lovely wall hanging.

It's so annoying when a card goes missing but when it is one of yours....all the time and love you have put into it, must be soul destroying. Your replacement card and the wall hanging are stunning. Hugs, Carol S.xx

Lost mail is more prevalent around Christmas, but sometimes it eventually arrives albeit late! LOoe both of your cute cards, the colouring is excellent and the papers are so beautifully layered! Thanks for joining us at Country View Challenges this month!

Oh Annette! How heartbreaking to have your first work go missing! I've had that only once and it is utterly heartbreaking when so much work has gone into their creation. I'm sure these two will be so loved. The wall hanging is gorgeous and such a beautiful compliment to the pretty card. Popping in today to wish you a wonderful 2017. May it be filled with love, laughter, health and plenty of uninterrupted crafty hours! Hugs, Wends xoxo

I so understand your pain hun, especially after all that work. It's like losing a part of yourself. The replacement is no less gorgeous, and I'm confident that the hanger is going to be hanging for years to come - a real treasure piece. Hugs xx
