Spring Gnome

It's my last week at Polkadoodles Digi Choosday as I'm stepping down from the Design Team, so for my final card I've watercoloured this Spring Gnome and layered her onto some Pretty Spring Papers.  I've masked her and inked a background using Ranger Distress Ink Reinkers and the Distressed Trellis Stencil.

Charlie and Chloe

I watercoloured this loved up bovine pair earlier in the month and I've now popped them onto a card to share with you today.  I've printed the digi in grey so that it gives a softer image and showered them in flowers in dusky pastel shades of pink.

Money Money Money

This week at As You Like It Challenge we want to see how you like to decorate money or a gift token when it's given for a birthday. I've made a little pop out wallet which folds flat. The money slides into a slot and stands upright when the flap is opened, but it was a bit prone to opening by itself so I had to make a belly-band to keep it closed. I love making 3D projects so this little pop up wallet in pretty papers was as enjoyable to make as it is to gift.

Squirrel Birthday

I watercoloured this sweet Squirrel by Lee Holland a couple of weeks ago, but have only just managed to get him onto a card.  I've used some muted creamy yellow card from Papermill Direct which I've ran through a floral embossing folder before die cutting a scalloped curve to frame my card.  I've matted a Whimsy Birthday sentiment uisng layers of pink to pull out the pink from the image.

Get Well Soon

I made this 'get well card' for a friend's mum who's just had a hip replacement. Apparently she had it with just an epidural and sedation. Lord, I'd need to be knocked out for 24 hours if they were going to take part of my hip away. I can't even imagine being semi-conscious.  Thankfully it's done now and she's on the mend.  It was lovely to see her and have a chat over a coffee and scone. 

Because this card was hand-delivered I could make it extra dimentional, so I used some of my largest flowers to decorate it.

Mouse Tag

I've used one of my new Sweet Dixie dies to create this cute tag featuring this sweet little mouse which I've watercoloured and mounted onto some purple card. The sentiment is die cut but I've added a shadow using my silhouette machine to ensure it shows up on the lilac card.

Knickerbocker Glory

Living by the sea, there is nothing better than walking along the promenade in the sunshine with a Gelato Icecream, so for my Polkadoodles Digi Choosday project today I've opted for a Knickerbocker Glory to decorate my August calendar page with a sentiment from the Winnie Sugar Sprinkles bundle.   As usual my image is watercoloured with Ranger Distress Ink Reinkers.  The background is inked using the Heavenly Circles stencil.

Calendar Pages

I've used some cute pre-coloured images from Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy store to decorate this DIY calendar from Papermill Direct.  It was easy to tweaze open the rings just enough to remove the pages so that I could run them through my printer.  I matched the images to each month and printed them on high quality for a mouse-tastic calendar.

Farmyard Fun

This adorable little farmyard cow is a new image from Lili of the Valley.  I've watercoloured and framed her with some blue card in alternating light and dark shades to make her pop.

When writing up the blogpost I've realised that the frame is actually a holly Christmas one, but I didn't notice, so I'm hoping it looks ok for non-xmas card!  Note to self: read the label next time!
