Calendar Bear

I've got a fun project to share today, a little desk calendar using one of my favourite characters Jake from Stampfairy.    I'm not sure why I love him so much, maybe his sheepish expression, or huge blue nose, but whatever it is, he is adorable.

New Pup on the Block

There is a new character, a new release and a freebie at StampFairy today.  The new puppy on the block is called Hugo.

And I LOVE HIM !!!

I've kept the card simple, using my new paw print papers again although you can't see much of them cos I printed Hugo out so large.  I did a bit of stitching to add some interest, and a paw print ribbon for some added 'paw-fection' !!

    Christmas Gifts

WooHoo!!! I've been invited to guest design at the fabulous ABC Christmas Challenge this week.

After all my good intentions of making my Chrimbo cards steadily throughout the year, I've made no more than a small handful, and it is already July.  I really must get myself into gear with them again, otherwise November is gonna be full of snowflakes and holly like last year.  Although that is no bad thing in my mind!

Anyhoo, this fortnight at ABC Christmas the theme is 'M' - Make a gift.  I've gone a bit overboard and made several.  I saw some amazing handmade tiles on the blog of the uber-talented Mojca of Soul Sanctuary.  See her beautiful tiles here, here and here.  Mine are exceptionally amateur looking compared to hers, but I'm gonna have another go sometime soon to try to improve to something better.

    Prepare for a photo overload.

The first few pictures are of some coasters that I've made from clay, stamped and coloured :

The last couple of pics are much smaller and have a little hole at the top to pop some twine or ribbon to hang them as decorations.

The ABC Christmas challenge is sponsored by Stamp And Create this fortnight. I can't wait to see what you create.

    'Meeces' with Birthday Balloons

I've been colouring some of my lovely new LOTV purchases, and have another one to show you today.

I've used fun summery colours again, bright oranges, greens, yellows, and some lovely glittery papers.

These little meeces look like they're having fun playing with those balloons.  I think I might have made a mistake on the little fella at the front though ... I thought he was holding a balloon in his right paw, but I think that I might have just coloured his furry little bum orange by mistake !!  Whoopies.

    Tilda with Bunny

A cute little Tilda to share today. Orange isn't usually a colour that I'd use, but I'm on a mission to use more summery colours (despite the 'damp' weather).  I've used my grand nesties to cut the card base shape and some pretty glittery paper.

    Red White and Blue

I've got a red white and blue card to share today.  Ok, I'll admit that it has some brown in it too, but I figured brown was OK for hair, and then a small smidge for her underskirt.  I'm also more of a "pink" girl, than a "red" girl, but I think I pulled it off OK.

I've made a J-Fold card for a bit of interest. The image was so large in comparison to the card, that there was not much room for an array of embellishments, so I kept it simple with some pretty papers, a few pearls, flowers and a bow.

    Over the moon about Barry

It's Friday so there is a new release and freebie at StampFairy called Barry Moon.  This little bear is just adorable, and I love him as an angel bear.

I've used glamour dust on his nose, wings, paws and the star. There is also some stitching on the edges, but it is not very visible in the pics.

Getting into the 'Swing' of Shaped Cards

A little shaped card today with some pretty purple papers.  And an image I've not used for a while with Milly on a garden swing.  Quite a C&S card with only a few peals and some flowers.  The ribbon is a bit of scrap that just reached around the card base too.

      Tilda Birthday Presents

Ok, I'm back to a pink shaped card today (I feel much better after a short spell away from pink).

I've used a lovely colour combo of pink, aqua, green and a touch of purple (the purple being the ribbons on the gifts).  I think the pink and aqua colours are lovely together.

I got a bit carried away with the pink though.  Can anyone notice my mistake though?  Whoops!!!

      Fairy Sweet Birthday Wishes

This fortnight's challenge at Top Tip Tuesday is Stars & Stripes.  I decided to go for non-traditional stars and stripes, and opted for softer colours, with pink, aqua and brown.

My pretty stripy papers are from Wild Rose Studio and the stars are buttons that I've had for ages.

The sketch is actually one from a challenge that ended a couple of weeks ago, but I like it so much, you may have noticed that I have been using it on a few cards even since the challenge ended !!!

      Puppy Power

A little Penny Black to share today, one of my oldest images and one I've not used for a while.  I've coloured him quite dark, to match the paw-print papers, and he's got a smart paw-print tie.

No embellies on this card at all. Just a bit of stitching, but otherwise I kept it plain so it was as masculine as possible.  I'm still twitching from the lack of anything pink or glittery!!

      Summer Flower Bear

Another simple card today, and I'm trying to get in the mood for summer with some summery yellows.  The papers are sparkly and embossed and are really pretty, although the effect of the embossed shimmer does not photograph well.

All I want for Christmas is You (yes, it is still June!)

Is it Christmas already?  Despite the weather making us think we blinked and missed summer, it is still June, but I've got a Christmas card to share today.  I wanted to make my Christmas cards throughout the year this year so that I didn't get sick of holly and snowflakes in December (actually I'm not sure it is possible to be sick of snowflakes, at least on cards anyway).

Anyhoo, Tilda with her holly sprigs and some lovely snowflake papers are the theme of today's card.  I've kept the design simple, and just a few pearls and snowflake die cuts.  The cute font that I've used has snowflakes on it too.

      Doilies and Lace

Today I've used my favourite pink colours but added some pretty white accents of doilies and lace.  The papers are fast becoming my new (current) favourites, and I wish I'd bought 2 packs of this set cos I love all of the ones I've used from it so far.  I've not added many embellishments because I didn't want to cover up the paper!

I like to ride my bicycle ...

Just in time for Father's day this Sunday, this is the first guy's card that I actually like, even with the lack of anything remotely pink, glittered or floral on it.  I really like the simple sketch and I've added a couple of buttons that I've had for well over a year, plus a fence die that I've not used for ages either.

I really must use my dies more often.    One of my favourite blogs to visit is the lovely Alison, and she uses so many beautiful dies on her cards, I pledge to use mine more every time I see her wonderful creations.  I'm starting off with a simple one with my little fence !!!

      Milestone

Wow, not only did I reach 600 lovely followers last week, but today is my 500th post.  What a milestone, and I've met so many lovely fellow crafters and bloggers during that time.   Thank you to all my new followers, and also those who have been with me longer, who trawl through my regular ramblings and comment on my creative efforts !!

I've used a new image today, this is Willow and I think she is adorable.  I've used a lovely purple colour scheme and done some stitching too although it is hard to see it around the panels.

      Fairy Beary Birthday

A cutie to share today with my favourite colour combo (ok current favourite as I have a few!).  I've used some scraps of spotty papers and some lovely pink papers that I got at the weekend from a local craft shop, Japonica.
